A Belt Sander is a sanding machine that features a track with an abrasive sanding material made up of a series of small drum rolls and a track that allows the abrasive material to roll along a rectangular path. Belt Sanders are typically used with coarse abrasives (coarse sandpaper). This type of sander is suitable for removing old wall paint, quickly smoothing large surfaces of wood or plywood, and sanding metal materials or furniture. Using a Belt Sander requires extra precision, especially when used on small or narrow surfaces to avoid excessive scratches. This type of sander is not well-suited for finishing work.
